We have done a lot of traveling with our 18 month old (from short flights to New England to very long ones to Taiwan) and have used different options. If you are are taking a small suitcase, you can use this: http://www.toteatot.com/products.html. If you want a great combo stroller and car seat (I used this for a 24 hour flight and for strolling around Taiwan), this is great: http://www.lillygold.com/products/sit-n-stroll.html. Finally, if you want one of those dollies, http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000JJK9EY/ref=pd_lpo_k2_dp_sr_2?pf_rd_p=486539851&pf_rd_s=lpo-top-stripe-1&pf_rd_t=201&pf_rd_i=B000BNKIMQ&pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_r=0NG2YB262RH2229Z7CN2.
I got one for our trip to Michigan and it was amazing. We connected his carseat to it, rolled him through the airport with it & stowed it during the flight. We used someone else's umbrella stroller when we got to Michigan. It was so freakin' easy! Loved it. I ordered mine from one step ahead.

Their official site is selling a "recycled" one for $69.99 (not sure about shipping or whether they charge tax). Otherwise it looks like mystrollers.com has the cheapest new price at $79.95, no tax, free shipping :-D
i have a question... what is the advantage of them? why not check the car seat (it's free) and use an umbrella stroller? i'm not against the car seat dollies, i'm just wondering.
Hey Lisa! Well, when we fly with both babies then Henry is going to sit in his own seat (not in my lap) and so he'll be in his car seat! Otherwise, I would definitely check the car seat:)
He hasn't done very well in our laps the past two times that we've flown- he's a wiggle worm. I hope he'll do well in the car seat. Although, it's obviously at the cost of another ticket...
Camille, I have a great one... I wish I could give it to you. I loved using it when I took Lucy out of town because I had the seat for the plane, the stroller for the airport and wherever we were and a seat for the rental car. The one I have is the one in One Step Ahead. I would definitely say to buy it! (Again, I would give you mine if you were here!) Love, Denise
Also, if you happen to be traveling to a place where you can rent a car seat for the car, pick up one of these for the plane:
http://www.kidsflysafe.com/
Weighs just ONE POUND and fits into a 6" bag! We have taken both the infant car seat (Orbit) and the toddler convertible car seat (an Orbit and also a Combi Coccoro) on the plane and although the experience was pretty good, now that Cole is 1 we will exclusively be using the CARES system for the airplane and renting a car seat from the rental car company!

A girl in my moms group had a used one for sale awhile back...she probably still has it, but I don't know how much the shipping would be!
