We drove home and I was full of emotion- not sure why but had a good hormonal, blubbering cry. Why? I don't know. This baby is coming one day- so I'm not sure why I am upset, I just am. I have my next appointment on Monday the day after my due date. We'll do a stress test and talk about inducing, he's a big fellow. My old co-worker was due two days before me and had her baby yesterday morning- she got to the hospital at 7:45 a.m. and had the baby at 8:19 a.m. Good golly.
Henry, move south! south! south!!!!
Also, I have begun twittering and so if you'll look on the right-side column of this page, you can see updates or you can follow me here. I will keep y'all posted between blog postings this a-way. In case you haven't heard enough about the state of my cervix.

Try not to be discouraged...I know the feeling, though. I cried to my doctor SEVERAL times with both girls; my doctors were both men, though. I think it was the tears (and threats) that led to both girls being induced.
The Lord has a perfect birthday planned for Mr. Henry. Enjoy this time with Adam and Powers.
Wow! Your "later" in the day posts since you aren't working anymore always make me feel like you are probably already at the hospital; but, alas, not yet. That doctor appointment today just might get things going. I know it did for me. Wasn't ready at all when I went in, but then all that pushing and prodding-----I never made it to the next doctor appointment! You are just so excited to hold your little bundle of joy---hang in there!
i'm sorry...i'm sure it's frustrating. on sunday, i just wanted to talk to him...reason with him...i mean, he's gotta listen to reason, right?
get outta there, buck-o!
I'm not sure when your due date was/is, but my wife was 6 days overdue and she was 1 cm. She was 1 cm on her due date as well. We were just as anxious as you are. She ended up being induced, and it still took a while to get to 3cm. But she went 3cm to giving birth in no time. Now we have a 6 week old little girl who was 8lb at birth ... good luck!
COME HANG OUT AT MY HOUSE!!! I mean.. if you want to be distracted & hang out - we can watch movies.. eat pineapple.. go on walks.. Im happy to get one of those bouncy balls too! I guess your mom will be there tomorrow though?! YOU SHOULD BOTH COME OVER! :)
PS - what tha? Why aren't you my friend on Twitter? When did this happen?
Perhaps at least ONE Jennings will NOT secede from the South.
Your pregnancy from day one, til birth, has been a delight to follow, for much of that time for parents is forgotten, when the warp factor of life increases after arrival.
You are doing great Camille (Adam too!).
Henry will be a marvelous citizen of Erie, and beyond.
Blessings to the new family in process.
OK-I was the SAME way! you could not convince me that Jake wasn't ready to come...and oh my gosh I was only 35 weeks at the time-so selfish(but we had thought all along he would be born really early and I kept on going and going). No matter what people say to you, it won't change your mind-you are so ready! Just go do something nice for yourself. You will look back on this moment in 2months and laugh!
Mani's & Pedi's & a good "Chick Flick"-a little time with Mom,a big meal, a good walk, a good talk & then I will SET MR. HENRY STRAIGHT ABOUT BEING ON TIME!!!!! He will learn very early-don't mess around with Momma Lulu!
PS-DANNY-You may borrow The Jennings for a short period-but ONCE SOUTHERN ALWAYS SOUTHERN! I will start Henry out on Yawl, Fixin, & other classic Southern drawl so he will not confuse his location with his roots!
It's just SO very hard the last few days, so don't feel bad about the crying! Rest up, drink lots of water. It'll all go at once, just wait and see! Best of luck to you all!
Hang in there. I am praying for Henry and his travels down that birth canal. He'll make it at just the right time.
keep on crying, sister, it will make you feel better, but still humongous...i am a big fan of pitocin (sp). started the drip for both of them around 6am, one born at 12, the other at 10. of course, i was also a bit on the psycho side...love you, praying for you...
It could happen any time. With my oldest, I had a doctor appointment on Monday. He said that I still had quite a way to go. My daughter was born the next day.
Seriously, your story sounds EXACTLY like me when I was pregnant with Jack. My doc ended up inducing the day after my due date as well...and it was also a monday! Did I mention my cervix was so hard to reach I would have to get in this weird position with my fists under my hips to help my doctor out? Yea... OUCH.... all the while he was pushing Jack "down" with his other hand.... yea... I feel for you:( Hopefully he will change his mind and head south soon! Tell him if he heads toward the mason dixon you will fill his sippy cup with sweet tea!!!
Relax and get some rest!!! You will need it soon!! If Henry doesn't come by this weekend, we need to get together! If not, I will see you at St. V's!!
I'm seeing that this stage is not so much fun :). I'm praying for you guys...don't forget Psalm 138:8 "He will perfect what concerns you." That verse has been an encouragement to me lately, and I hope it is to you too :).
I know what you mean about the good hormonal cry! I had mine on Sunday :) But all this dilation and effacement just serves to confuse everyone I think, doesn't necessarily predict much. I have been at 3 and 100% for a few days and still no baby! So Henry could come at any time! Good luck you guys :)
