I WOULD BE SO HONORED if you ran in my honor in that 5K!!!!What a great and genius gift! You and Adam should go with some friends and check out the local "Tasting". EXPERIENCE THE REGION!
Can you run in my mom's honor also??????
there used to be a really good restaurant at Union Station and then it closed. Do they have anything new there??
Ahhh, locomotive on the front of the shirt. My husband used to be in charge of the men who made those and now he is in charge of the men who fixed the wrecked broken down ones.
How old is your husband???? They havn't made new steam locomotives in this country for over 50 years.... The BrewErie is now in union station.... It's a great restaraunt....
to the food addict, the place now is a huge brew pub. the old restaurant was closed down and i'm really surprised the brew pub has been there so long. what a great old building. it's really a gem.
?????~ A locomotive is a locomotive to me....steam or diesel. I assume the locomotive on the front of the T is a symbol of the regions largest employer that makes locomotives which is GE. I wasn't referencing that particular locomotive. Just making an asymilation between the locomotive and GE....please don't tell John Dineen about my faux paux. LOL
Kiser's~I agree on the building....very cool. It is always unfortunate when downtown area's are left in the dust. They have so much character and history. I always thought Erie was a great place....and very much enjoyed living there for 2 years. I grew up in the general vicinity for 21 years and then got transferred back in '98 but then got transferred back out 4 years later and have had 3 more moves since.
GE never built steam locomotives. Just electric and diesel, Also most don't realize their choice of erie as a plant site a purely an accident, They were really looking at cleveland and buffalo... Good day,
????~I never said GE built steam locomotives. I merely associated the locomotive WITH GE. In my mind locomotives=GE regardless of what kind they are....that was my point to begin with which Camille knows as my husband was senior management at GE for several years at the in Erie, Grove City, Barstow and Omaha. The asymilation was the point here...not the type of locomotive. Thanks for clearing up though......might be helpful in trivial pursuit someday.
LOL, I am a chic, I can't tell the difference between a diesel, steam or electric. BUT I can tell the difference between a GE and an EMD. One has wings and one doesn't BUT neither can fly.
I just learned a lot from all of these comments! I wish we were there for all of that - soon enough. soon enough ..
EMD also has a fuel tank with less sharp bends, it's a bit more round, Plus the older ones make a great roots blower whine... And they ride a whole heck of a lot better....
alright for the train shirt! you are supporting bryon's working wellbeing by being a supporter of the railroad. thanks friend.
