Tradition says that the one that finds the baby hidden in the cake must buy the next cake. Our friends brought us a king cake this weekend, and the baby was on top. When I asked why it was not hidden in the dough, Barbaba said she thought they had passed a law that the bakerys could not put it in the dough. IT IS PLASTIC-so not edible and best not ingested!
One of those babies could knock a cap outta yer mouth and you could have a nice little lawsuit on your hands........sheesh, especially if a drunken topless beaded mardi gras'er is the one eating that cake.
