Comfy Baby

Good News:  I got two sweet packages in the mail today- my dear cousins, Ann, Adrian, and Ashley all sent me some sweet gifts for Henry J.  (love all the outfits and the fleur-de-lis onesie...go Louisiana!  Very thoughtful cousins, thank you so much.)  and my mom sent up a package with the infamous lamp shade and a couple of cute gifts.  THANK YOU!

Kinda Bad News:  I had a doctor's appointment today.  Internal exam...one word= ow.  Although I guess I should toughen up for labor, huh?  But Dr. D says that I am not dilated and it will be probably at least a good week.  A little part of me was hoping that we'd go in today and she'd say, "Oh wow- you're already at 5 centimeters!  Let's go in and have this baby right now!"  But alas, I will enjoy this time off and rest up and look forward to the next internal exam.  Wheee.

She did say, however, "You've got a pretty solid-sized baby in there- we won't let you go much past your due date."

See, I know he's big!  That's why we've been going on these long walks.  Apparently long walks aren't doing the trick.  Spicy hot wings next?

So glad to hear you the gifts and you like them! I was induced with both girls...they were big, too and had no intentions on leaving their comfy place to come into the big loud world! Enjoy your last few days...

Start with the squats! I did them for a full week and a half before Will came. (He was induced but I was having contractions when I went in...so maybe they helped a tiny bit!)

Camille, I stumbled across y'all's blog by way of Kristin and Smith. Adam and I are excited for you guys! You could always try "bowling for babies" where you go bowling around when you're due. My mom went bowling with both my sister and me and went into labor within a couple of days with both of us.

haha I never dilated or anything with Jack...I would walk, eat raw jalapenos, play twister, go the Chiropractor, hop around like a bunny, and anything else I heard that worked....and NOTHING...and my "exams" hurt as well. In fact, my doctor would have me put my fists under my hips to get me in a "better" position for the exam...OUCH! Hopefully Henry decides to get things started soon!

Sometimes the internal exam can get things going, so maybe it will help get you dilated a bit! I wasn't dilated at all and then my water broke and things got going that way! Best of luck in the next few weeks! Exciting and life changing!!

You will definitely always look back and be glad you had these (1 or 2) weeks off & that he didnt come too early.. hopefully!

And I know your mom is glad the doctor gave you the news he did! :) I would like to know what ann is saying will help though!

These little ones are unpredictable!! Enjoy the last few weeks. Although we have progressed to about 2cm along, we are playing the same waiting game. Who knows when she will arrive?!?! Exciting times ahead!
