How He Loves

Well, the beach trip went well and Henry & I arrived back in Erie at 2 a.m. Saturday morning and then found out a few hours later that my dear friend up here was in the midst of an awful tragedy. It's not my story to tell, so I won't. But I will say that the past couple of days I have seen the body of Christ come together and love my sweet friend and her family well and that I am amazed at how the Lord has burdened so many hearts for them and stirred so many people to pray and encourage and help this family. I have definitely sensed that the Lord mourns alongside us and carries our sorrows, He is near to the brokenhearted. Also, I am encouraged by Jesus saying:

"In this world you will have troubles. But take heart, for I have overcome the world."-John 16:33

It is hard but sweet to have the privilege to weep alongside a friend. To not have answers to questions but to just stand beside them. I have seen supernatural peace and I know that this is a segment of a story that will ultimately glorify God and display his compassion on his children.

This is the song that keeps playing in my heart.

Amen Sista. Thankful that He is God- the Lord, the one who loves- bigger and better and always more than we can imagine.

I love, love, love that song. We just started singing it at church and I cry every time. Now I know who sings it and can get it on my ipod ...

I love that you live in a community that celebrates when your baby boy came into the world, gets behind you and Adam as you walk through him being in school, and picks each other up when life falls apart around you.

Great post!! I have been reading your blog through Sarah. She is my husbands cousin. Your little boy is so cute. Anyways just saying I had a very good friend of mine that had the same thing happen to her just last year. It was absolutely devastating but God does work miracles. My friend now has a precious baby boy 1 year later that was born about a month ago and he is just perfect. Her first baby was a girl. Please let your friend know I am praying for her and her family that they may be healed. We don't always understand Gods reasoning but he knows what is best and he knows our future :) He is one AWESOME GOD!!

You are a kind person and such a wonderful friend. God has a plan and your friend and the family will find peace once again. Will you update us in a bit on them? Not the personal story but in how they are doing? Thanks!

I have always been a faithful reader of BEcoming the Glupkers and I am worried something happened to the baby? I don't need personal details but their blog is now private. Just wondering if everything went ok?? I
