Teeth

Now that Henry has his two bottom teeth, he has bitten me a few times.

While I was feeding him.

It hurts, I won't lie. The first few times, it wasn't too bad but it's become worse and I have yelped out a couple of times and made Henry both cry and laugh. I want to keep on nursing him but, geez Louise...

Helen told me her daughter would thump her kids on the bottom of their foot when they bit. Perhaps that would get his attention?

It only lasted a short time with Addy. I almost stopped, but kept with it..even though I bled a few times!!!! I had to try to not react when she did it and I think that helped! Good Luck!!

I am not a good resource. I yelped and scared Tristyn and she wouldn't nurse anymore after that. Seriously. Good thing she was 11 months when she got teeth.

Got nothing. Josh never bit me and I never even thought about it...but he stiff armed me at five months and let me know he was sick of the nursing deal. Maybe be was tempted and decided to just stop it all together.

When your wee little laddie takes a chomp...try unlatching...tell him "no bite" and then resume nursing after a minute or two. He may get the clue that biting means no more boobie. Hopefully that will be enough. For me that helped and with a little time both boys just stopped nibbling.
